How our text messaging works, how to opt in and out, and how we protect your mobile phone information.
Effective Date: September 5, 2026 ยท Last Updated: September 5, 2026
These SMS Terms describe the text messaging program operated by Atlas Intensive Care ("we," "us," or "our"). By providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts from us, you accept these terms.
Atlas Intensive Care sends text messages to patients and prospective patients for appointment booking links, appointment reminders and confirmations, notices that results or documents are ready, and general care-coordination replies. This is a conversational and notification program, not a marketing or promotional program.
You consent to receive text messages from us when you:
We only send messages to people who have contacted us or are existing patients. We never buy, rent, or send messages to purchased phone lists.
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us and your care needs. Typically this is fewer than five messages per patient per month.
Message and data rates may apply. These charges are billed by your mobile carrier; Atlas Intensive Care does not charge you for text messages.
You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you send STOP, we will send one confirmation message and then stop texting you. If you want to receive messages again, you may opt back in by contacting us or submitting the consent box again.
For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at 213-582-8527 or [email protected].
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to the effective transmission of your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information collected as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with any third parties except as needed to operate the messaging service (for example, our messaging provider that delivers the texts on our behalf). All other use of your health and personal information is governed by our HIPAA privacy practices and our Terms of Service.
Text messaging is not fully secure. We limit the health information we include in texts. Please do not send sensitive medical details by text; for anything clinical, we may ask you to call the office or use a secure channel.
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above.
