Yes. Dr. Sharma is licensed to practice medicine in California and follows California Medical Board telehealth guidelines. Telemedicine visits are limited to patients physically located in California at the time of the appointment.
Yes. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform for all telemedicine visits. Patient information, video sessions, and electronic records are all protected under federal HIPAA standards.
All telemedicine consultations are synchronous — meaning you and Dr. Sharma are on a live video call together. Patient intake forms and history may be filled out in advance through our EMR system, which makes the live visit more efficient.
Prescriptions are sent electronically through SureScripts to the pharmacy of your choice — based on whichever location is most convenient or has the best price. For controlled substances, we use ECPS-compliant electronic prescribing.
Most major insurance plans cover telemedicine at the same rate as in-person visits. We'll verify your coverage when you book. We also accept cash payment for patients without insurance — typical visits range from $125 to $250.
No. We have no partnerships with any pharmacy. You choose where your prescriptions are filled — we simply send the e-prescription wherever you prefer.
Lab orders are sent electronically to the location of your choice — typically Quest, LabCorp, or your hospital lab. Imaging orders work the same way. Results come back to us, and we follow up with you to discuss findings.
Telemedicine evaluations follow a no-refund policy once the consultation has taken place. If a payment is made but no evaluation occurs within 30 days, patients may request a 50% refund (excluding payment processing fees). Full details are available in our Terms of Service.
